Hastingsbury is a Foundation School for students aged 13 - 19 and is a founder member of the Kempston Education Trust. It is non-denominational and fully comprehensive in its intake.

Hastingsbury aims to maximise the achievement of all students by emphasising the importance of high standards and high expectations. We are committed to treating all our students as individuals, closely monitor their progress and regularly praise their successes as we believe that students gain more in an atmosphere that is supportive and caring, yet is clear in its expectations and standards.

As you are no doubt aware, the Borough Council agreed last November to the publication of statutory notices to change all its lower schools to primary schools to cover the full 4-11 age range, to change upper schools to secondary schools covering the full 11-18 age range and to close middle schools.  Those notices were published on the 14 January 2010.
